Our Story
Chabad Aurora was established in 2014, to serve the Jewish community of Aurora. Chabad Aurora is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of affiliation or prior level of knowledge. Its sole purpose is to create a warm, welcoming environment to explore and experience Judaism's warm and relevant spiritual inspirations in a non-judgmental and inviting atmosphere.
Since its inception, Chabad Aurora strives to meet the needs of the community with religious services, and social events, as well as an array of programming including Shabbat Dinners, preschool, Hebrew school, hospital visits, campus outreach, etc.
Chabad Aurora is a local, independent and financially self-supporting entity. Every dollar that we receive comes from the generosity of people like you. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are fully tax deductible.
Meet the Araive's

Rabbi David and Nechama moved to Aurora and founded Chabad Aurora in 2014.
Prior to moving to Aurora, Rabbi David grew up in Israel before pursuing studies in Jewish thought and practice in Ohr Avner, and received his rabbinical ordination in Chulon. He then went on to serve in the IDF Air Force for 3 years. His infectious optimism and joyful personality drives his commitment and dedication to his community.
Nechama was born and raised in New York and is a passionate educator, teaching classes for women, as well as educating her own 9 children. She also has exquisite taste which shines through all the events at Chabad she plans.
